Historic City of London Evening Walk, Hidden Alleys, Landmarks & Stories
Step into the historic heart of the City of London on this immersive evening walk, uncovering layers of history from Roman times to the modern financial district. Starting at Liverpool Street, we explore the tranquil churchyard of St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate, before discovering the hidden beauty of the Victorian Bath House, a rare surviving Turkish bath beneath the streets.
We continue through Bank, the financial core of London, passing the grand Royal Exchange and the powerful Bank of England, before visiting St Mary Woolnoth. From here, we trace the story of the Great Fire at The Monument to the Great Fire of London, wander through the atmospheric ruins of St Dunstan in the East, to All Hallows-by-the-Tower.
Continue via Trinity Square Gardens, to Tower Hill and the stunning Leadenhall Market, ending back at London Liverpool Street Station where you are welcome to join us for a drink before your train home.
