Returning for its third year, High Cheese at The Westin Melbourne reintroduces the much-loved experience with a more refined and considered approach, led by Executive Chef Apoorva Kunte in collaboration with Richmond cheesemonger Supercheese and Punt Road Wines.  


Available from Tuesday through Saturday from 26 May 2026 for a five-month residency, High Cheese reimagines the traditional high tea through a three-tier menu where cheese is treated as the hero ingredient.  


Leading the experience is The Westin Melbourne’s Executive Chef Apoorva Kunte who has worked closely with Supercheese owner Jeremy Spradbery to curate an exceptional selection of cheeses defined by quality, provenance and character. A specialty store known for sourcing niche, small-batch cheeses from both local and international producers, Supercheese’s ethos perfectly aligns with The Westin Melbourne’s signature dining destination, Allegro, where high-quality produce is brought to life through culinary craft. 


Guests will move through a considered progression of savoury and sweet creations by Kunte, including a shared centrepiece and final sweet flourish, each thoughtfully paired with a glass of Punt Road wine. 


Building on past collaborations with The Studd Siblings, Zonzo Estate and Scotchmans Hill, this year’s High Cheese celebrates local craftsmanship, bringing together some of Victoria’s most passionate food and wine producers. 


The experience will also evolve mid-season, with a refreshed menu launching in August to offer a new expression of the concept and give guests a compelling reason to return. 


A distinctive celebration of cheese, craftsmanship and Victorian collaboration not to be missed, High Cheese is available at Allegro from 26 May to 17 October 2026, with bookings essential.
