About this Event
This workshop invites you to loosen your grip on watercolor and discover it as a responsive, living medium—fluid, unpredictable, and generous. We will explore the edges of technique through unorthodox, intuitive practices that make watercolor flexible rather than fragile and playful rather than precious.
Working beyond rules and expectations, we will experiment with unconventional methods that allow accidents, stains, and bleedings to become collaborators. Control gives way to dialogue; mastery emerges through attention rather than force. You’ll be learning to trust your hand, your pace, your way of seeing.
Participants are encouraged to accept their own approach to drawing and painting, to work with what arrives rather than against it. The process values curiosity, ease, and enjoyment, opening space for satisfying, surprising, and at times spectacular results.

With a background in printmaking, Fátima Moreno (Granada, 1980) develops a practice centered on painting and drawing as sensitive, open spaces of exploration.
Her imagery is articulated through lines and graphic gestures that unfold toward the oneiric, the satirical, and the psychedelic, where estrangement functions as a fundamental element. In her works, one perceives an intrinsic freedom in the way visual language is conceived, as well as a certain narrative involuntariness that allows experiences, desires, and dreams to surface.
Drawing is not understood as a technique, but as a state of attention and embodied presence: a place where what is felt becomes gesture even before an idea exists.
Her work stems from contemporary art and integrates naturally into other fields such as fashion design, objects, and scenography.
Her work is part of collections such as the Zé dos Bois Gallery in Lisbon and the CAAC in Seville. In September 2026, she will exhibit at the CA2M Museum in Madrid.
