Participants will learn to identify botanicals in their natural habitats through developing an understanding of basic botanical identification methods including taxonomic details, plant morphology, and organoleptic observation. They will also learn to relate pharmacological qualities of medicinal herbs identified with medicinal actions, integrate concepts of traditional Western medicine with modern phytotherapeutic science and practices, recognising the importance of both in crafting effective holistic herbal treatments.
We will be meeting at 1pm at the North entrance of the park, at the Bloor St. + High Park Ave. intersection on the Southeast corner.
The is no parking allowed inside the park on weekends.
Please bring weather-appropriate clothing.
