About this Event
Her Hue, Her Voice!
A community gathering, rooted in the power and creativity of Black women. Centering Black female artists, the night creates space for connection, expression, and celebration through live music that reflects the voices and experiences of our community.
Artists include the acclaimed poets, Nytesia Ross and Humble Hart and Oakland musical treasures, SundaY and Marisha Ashanti.
Curated by creative director, David Chatman, this inter-disciplinary event includes music and poetry along with a photo exhibition that honors Black women from across the Bay Area, capturing their presence, strength, and everyday beauty. Together, music and imagery uplift stories that are often overlooked and affirm the cultural impact Black women continue to have locally and beyond.
Created with community in mind, this event INVITES US ALL, not just the black community, to come together to celebrate Black women as creators, leaders, and culture-shapers for the evening.
