HELSINKI HAZE WAVE FESTIVAL POSTPONED UNTIL SUMMER 2021According to the decisions made by the Finnish government and health authorities, all large-scale events in Finland will be forbidden until at least July 31st 2020. The health and safety of our guests and our & brewery staff is our priority, and thus the festival will be postponed until summer 2021.
The new dates are already confirmed, Helsinki Haze Wave Festival will take place 23–24 July 2021 in Kattilahalli. Most of this years breweries have already confirmed their participation in the 2021 edition, and we are negotiating with a lot of new big names for them to join us for the magical weekend.
We are gutted that we can’t party together already this year, but fear not - we are using the extra year efficiently, and we promise to create something even bigger & better.
If you have already purchased a ticket, you’re in luck - you can just relax as the ticket is automatically transferred for the 2021 event. As we are making the event bigger and better, the ticket prices are expected to go up a bit for 2021. We will keep the 2020 ticket prices in our webshop as is for a bit, until we confirm the ticket prices for 2021, so snatch them quick! If you would like to have a refund, please write us an email to [email protected] by 24.5.2020.

We warmly welcome you all to ride the first ever annual Haze Wave ?
Helsinki Haze Wave Festival 2021 is the brainchild of Erkki Häme, the Beer Explorer for Pien Shop & Bar and Pien Distribution. With the contacts we have created during our years in business, we felt obliged to create a high end beer festival with hyped world class breweries and their freshest brews. It is a celebration of all things craft beer - we welcome every single kind of beer and every single kind of adult human being to join us for the greatest craft beer weekend Finland has ever seen.
Helsinki Haze Wave Festival is a ceremony of friendship - we’re happy to be able to say that all breweries attending the festival are not just another beer producing company, but also people we personally know and cherish. It is our honor to create an event like this, and to emphasis that, we will be donating all proceedings of the event to charity.
What makes Helsinki Haze Wave Festival different?
? Possibility to sample all of the beers
We include enough tasting tickets to sample all the beers available at the event - no need to purchase separate value to any difficult cards or drink tickets, just come on in and enjoy. Be sure to catch the most interesting beers first - we WILL run out of the most wanted brews, as there is only one keg of each beer available! You have been warned.
? Fresh, Fresh, Fresh
As you might now, Pien is considered as a synonym for fresh beer - all the beers will be flown in from US and cargoed from Europe as close to the event as possible. We only want to serve you the best, because life is too short for bad beer.
? Brewers pouring the beers
We got brewers coming over to Helsinki to pour for every brewery - not the distributor. Feel free to ask questions & recommendations and have a fan selfie or two with them!
? Brand new location
There has never been a craft beer festival in Kattilahalli, and we will make it oh-so-pretty. The impressive church-like hall has a cultural and historic importance for Helsinki. The former boiler hall was built in 1909 for the city’s first major power plant, which was one of the biggest construction projects in Helsinki in the early 1900’s. We will have breweries located inside the visually breathtaking high ceiling Kattilahalli, and outside we will build a beautiful oasis for relaxing, sunbathing in the Finnish summer and enjoying some very special food from carefully curated food trucks.

Tasting portions are 5 cl. The most popular beers will run out during the session, so plan ahead and sample the ones you are most interested in first.
All tickets must be exchanged for a wristband. Information about locations and opening hours of wristband exchange points will be available in July.
The age limit for the festival is 18. A ticket does not guarantee your access to the event. Please bring a valid passport or driving licence to prove your age.
