About this Event
Come be part of something meaningful as we carpool together to Rowdy Girl Sanctuary for their inspiring Heart Working Volunteer Day. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a real difference for rescued farm animals while connecting with fellow compassionate volunteers from our community.
We’ll meet early at First UU Church to carpool, then spend the day helping bring the sanctuary to life. Projects include painting the Medical Treatment Center lab, supporting a large-scale land cleanup (including clearing drought-damaged trees and limbs), and creating space for new pasture growth. Along the way, you’ll enjoy time with like-minded animal advocates, meaningful moments with the animals, and a fun raffle—with a delicious plant-based lunch of Beyond steaks and baked potatoes included!
Schedule:
- 7:30 AM – Meet at First UU Church to carpool
- 10:00–10:45 AM – Mandatory Orientation + Q&A
- 11:00 AM–1:30 PM – Volunteer Work
- 1:45–2:45 PM – Lunch + Raffle (Beyond steaks & baked potatoes!)
- 3:00–4:30 PM – Volunteer Work
- 4:30–5:00 PM – Final Raffle + Animal Time
Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or brand new, this is a powerful way to give back, get your hands dirty, and be part of a kinder world for animals. We hope you’ll join us!
