Healthy Waterways - Community Workshop

You are invited to participate in a Healthy Waterways workshop - this is the first in a series of three community workshops. This launch event will be held at the Lock Keeper's Cottage at South Dock Marina on Thursday 29th January 2026, 6:30 – 8pm.

Earlier this year, we asked the boating community to share thoughts and concerns about local environmental health and air pollution. Now, we'd like to take the next step together. These free workshops are an opportunity to:

◦ Share your experiences and challenges around community health and air quality on the waterways

◦ Discuss how best to engage and communicate within the boating community

◦ Identify the types of support that would make the biggest difference

Your input will help inform local authorities, waterways organisations, and policymakers— ensuring that boat dwellers' voices guide future action and support.

Join us to be part of the conversation and help set the framework for better communication, stronger partnerships, a healthier environment and a sustainable future for London’s waterways.

The second workshop will be at the Leaside Trust in Hackney evening of Thursday 12th February and the final will be a virtual workshop to be held in March 2026. Booking for these workshops will be published separately a month in advance of the events.

All participants are entitled to receive Reward and Recognition per hour for their attendance, which is in line with the London Living Wage.
