About this event
Is there a story you’ve been carrying that words can’t quite reach?
Join us for an intimate, hands-on workshop where we explore cinema and movement as tools for emotional expression and empowerment. This session is designed for anyone interested in using film as a creative outlet on their healing journey or exploring film poetry as a form of participatory art.
In this workshop, we move beyond traditional storytelling to focus on "visual poetry"—using rhythm, light, and the act of editing to reframe our personal narratives. Whether you are processing a life transition or simply looking for a new way to express your inner world, this space is for you.
What to expect:
- Introduction to Film Poetry: Understanding how images and rhythm can communicate complex emotions.
- Guided Creative Exercises: Using movement and simple filming techniques to capture "the felt experience".
- A Supportive Community: A safe, easygoing, and respectful environment to share and create.
Details:
- Entry: Free (RSVP Required).
- Experience Level: No prior film or editing experience is necessary.
- Materials: Please bring a smartphone or any camera you feel comfortable using.
