Healing the Shame Behind Addiction - 17th January

Addiction wears many masks. For some, it looks like alcohol, smoking, drugs, or gambling. For others, it hides in workaholism, perfectionism, shopping, emotional caretaking, or the endless scroll of the phone.

Most of us are addicted to something.
What unites all addiction is the longing beneath it:
A longing to belong.
A longing to feel enough.
A longing to escape the shame that whispers, “You are not enough"

This one-day workshop will explore the systemic roots of addiction — not as pathology, but as a loyal, unconscious response to pain, exclusion, and interrupted relationships across generations.

Through the lens of Systemic Constellations, we will gently look at:

• The hidden loyalties that bind us through addiction
• The role of shame in shaping our sense of self-worth
• The family dynamics that perpetuate cycles of suffering
• The disconnection from the father and how it shows up in adult behaviour
• How addiction can be a way of unconsciously honouring someone who was excluded, rejected or forgotten

This workshop is not about blame or diagnosis.
It is a space of looking, honouring — and deeper compassion.

You will be supported to:

• See and release inherited patterns of shame and addiction
• Restore dignity, connection, and choice
• Reclaim your place in the family and the world
• Begin again, from a place of strength and belonging
