About this Event
Treat yourself to a relaxing and restorative evening before starting the week. This sound bath will feature 2 sound healing facilitators and a 108 mantra sung to Ganesh, the remover of obstacles and Hindu god of beginnings. We will invite a deep release of what no longer serves us to create space for a more peaceful, restorative season of rest this winter. Decompress from the holiday stress and feel more presence.
What to expect:
We will begin with a few grounding breathing exercises, followed by a soothing sound bath. Bring your own yoga mats, blankets, pillows, eye masks, etc. to make yourself more comfortable (if you don't have a yoga mat, that's ok! We'll bring extras). We will begin with a few grounding breathing exercises, followed by a soothing sound bath. Loose/comfortable clothing is recommended; no physical activity will be required.
Please arrive 5-15min early to settle into and create your comfy space. Please remember to silence your cell phone before the sound bath begins.
We will bring balance to all of the 7 core chakras, with a focus on nourishing and grounding the sacral and root chakra during the autumn season's transition into winter.
What is a sound bath?
Sound bath meditations are designed to lower the brainwave state and bring the receiver into deep relaxation. Sound baths help reduce stress, improve sleep, release suppressed emotions, and balance energy. Participants get comfortable on a yoga mat, and are led through a grounding breathing exercise and guided meditation. The rest of the hour is filled with the healing frequencies of mantras, crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, a handpan, ocean drum, tongue drum, buffalo drum, koshi chimes, shakers, and gongs. No physical activity is required and no meditation experience is necessary.
