Onigiri Class
3 x Onigiri & 1 x can of Kanpai Session Sake or soft drink from the Taproom bar.
Join us for a fun and interactive Onigiri Class at Kanpai London Sake Brewery & Taproom!
You’ll learn how to make onigiri from scratch — starting with how to wash and prepare Japanese rice, shape and fill three rice balls with different tasty fillings, and then finish by decorating them with cute faces to create your own edible art pieces.
We’ll be using freshly London milled Japanese rice - Special A Grade Yumepirika rice from Hokkaido, known for its soft yet pleasantly chewy texture and sweet flavour — the perfect base for authentic onigiri.
Much like a sandwich in the West, onigiri are lovingly packed into bento for school or work by your family. They’re a symbol of care, creativity, and comfort — and might just become your new go-to healthy lunchbox idea!
Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned home cook, this workshop is a great way to explore Japanese food culture and expand your kitchen skills.
