About this Class:
It’s time to get your hands messy! In our hands-on format, you’ll be diving right in and making our dish with ingredients prepared by our Eataly kitchens. Our Scuola Chef will prepare a curated antipasto for you to taste in the class. You then get to enjoy your culinary creation straight out of the oven!
About this Dish:
Welcome to the world of pizza! There are many different types of pizza across Italy. Coming from Rome, Pizza alla Pala is an oval-shaped pizza served on a wooden pala, or paddle. Thick and crispy on the outside, but still fluffy in the center, the toppings are added after the pizza is baked. In this class, you’ll make your own pizza dough from scratch.
In this Class You Will:
- Learn about the traditions and culture of Pizza alla Pala
- Observe as our Scuola Chef teaches the group how to make Pizza alla Pala
- Make your own Pizza alla Pala from scratch by hand
- Enjoy a menu featuring an antipasto, welcome wine, and Pizza alla Pala prepared by yourself!
Please Note:
- One ticket purchase is valid for one guest
- Seating is first-come, first-served
- Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes
- All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce a valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older. Non-alcoholic beverages are available.
- Classes are also suitable for children 8+ who are passionate about Italian cuisine. Under 15 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
- Please notify us 48 hours in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. If we are not notified ahead of time of any special needs, we may not be able to accommodate them.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Full payment is required at the time of booking, and all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for classes or events.
If you're booking for a group of 5–10 guests, you must give us at least 7 days’ notice (not including the day of the class) to receive a credit in the form of a coupon for a future La Scuola class or event.
For groups of 1–4 guests, a minimum of 4 days’ notice is required (again, not including the class day) to receive a credit for a future class or event.
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any class due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather. If that happens, we will contact you using the email or phone number you provided and offer either a full refund or a credit for a future class.
Please note that we cannot offer credits, transfers, or refunds for last-minute illnesses, work conflicts, personal emergencies, or other situations beyond your control. However, you are welcome to send someone in your place if you can no longer attend.
If you're purchasing this class or event as a gift, please make sure the recipient is aware of this policy, as it still applies.
Credits issued for La Scuola events can only be used toward future La Scuola events and cannot be applied toward other Eataly events, store purchases, or Eataly gift cards.
