About this Event
Ceilidh dancing is the biggest fun that you could ever take part in. What is a Ceilidh? Traditional and more modern Scottish dances, which you can learn in a few minutes and enjoy. It is very inclusive, you will meet new people, change partners and hopefully laugh a lot.
We provide live music by Phill, calling and teaching all the dances by Zsofi as a guest caller and Margaret, who is the leader of the local group.
The venue is in the district of Rivierenbuurt in the Kindercentrum Catharina. Easy access by bus, tram and train.
No experience, partner or kilt are needed, just you. Bring along a pair of comfy shoes (trainers are perfect, no high heels please), a friend, if you like, and your sense of humour and have a fun time with us.
Absolutely no age limit, but under 18 years old should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Kids are more than welcome. It is a great event for families. The teaching will be in English.
The venue is open from 19:15, a member of the local group will meet you down on the street and show the way to the top floor venue in to the sport hall, gates will close 19:35 and we start shortly after.
We take photos and videos at our classes for promotional reasons, please let us know on the day if you don't want to be included in these.
Scottish Dancing is so popular all around the world, we welcome all nationalities at our events.
Tickets in limited numbers will be available at the door too. Early reserving your spot is highly recomended.
