Mighty Fine Arts presents Guaranteed Fresh No. 2 with new work and collaborations by Jeff F. Wheeler. This show opens Sat March 21 with a reception for the artist and will run till April 26. Infamous artist/curator Jeff F. Wheeler brings a load of new art and collaborations to MFA featuring some of his notorious Texas artist friends. Collaboration has played a big role in Wheeler's art practice as he savors adventures into the unknown. On view will be collaborations with stellar artists Bill Haveron, Daniel Johnston, James Surls, James Portor, Janice Freeman, Mathieu JN Baptiste, Bryan Wheeler, Tiffany Heng-Hui Lee, Hills Snyder and Steve Cruz. Jeff F. Wheeler has been featured in over 250 exhibits in Texas and internationally. He is founder of the recurring Texas art and music hootenanny Ulterior Motifs which has included work from Robert Rauschenburg, Ed and Nancy Kienholz, Trenton Doyle Hancock and James Surls. He currently lives and works in Southside San Antonio where he is director and curator of Space C7 Gallery. In other words the dude gets around because his work is the bomb! Also on Opening Night! Wordspace Artspeak presents a rare musical performance by Pecan Tree! MH Clay and Chris Zimmerly will do some exquisite blues hippie jammin that just might make you lose your inhibitions.
