This Month: “Guadeloupe Pt. 2 – Rhums of Marie‑Galante”
At the end of May, we return to Guadeloupe — but this time we sail south to Marie‑Galante, the quiet, windswept island where rhum agricole is distilled with a purity and precision found nowhere else in the Caribbean.
This session celebrates the fresh‑cane clarity, layered aromatics, and deep agricultural heritage that define Marie‑Galante’s iconic distilleries. Expect rhums that feel both elemental and expressive: bright, structured, and shaped by the island’s limestone soils and traditional production methods.
We’ll explore how Marie‑Galante’s producers honour cane, land, and lineage — from long‑established houses to modern expressions that continue the island’s commitment to authenticity and craft.
Join us at The Hope for an evening of guided tastings, lively conversation, and a welcoming community of rum lovers.
Our Rum Club meets monthly to explore different styles, production methods, and flavour profiles — always with curiosity, respect, and a sense of fun.
