Performer Bios
Peter Angelo (He/Him) | Gay
📱 @metalpetecomedy
Peter Angelo is a stand up comedian based out of Austin, Texas. A New England native, Peter gave up a life of truck driving to entertain with his one-of-a-kind voice hardly seen in the comedy world. Known as the “Blue Collar Comedy Queer,” Peter has performed across the United States and in China, building a growing fan base. His tales of blue collar work and self-discovery connect people from all walks of life in ways they never thought possible.
Baruch Porras Hernandez (He/Him) | Gay
📱 @baruchporrashernandez
Baruch Porras Hernandez’s solo show Love in the Time of Piñatas won Best Solo Comedy at the New York City Fringe Festival in 2025, but his most impressive accomplishment is having had a donut named after him at Dynamo Donuts in San Francisco. He’s opened for Solomon Giorgio, Adore Delano, and is the creator and host of the Latinx comedy showcase Donde Esta Mi Comedy?, a staple of SF Sketchfest for six years. Baruch has hosted and performed at Cobb’s Comedy Club, The Stand Up Comedy Club in SoCal, Alameda Comedy Club, and countless queer shows across the Bay Area and beyond.
Marquis The Honey Bear (He/Him) | Gay
📱 @marquishoneybear
An Emmy-nominated producer, writer, actor, and community organizer, Marquis The Honey Bear was also Mr. Bear LA 2023. Through his work and his signature event Black Bear Joy, he’s been creating space for Black bears and gender-nonconforming folks to be seen and celebrated. Bold, hilarious, and brimming with heart, Marquis brings his one-of-a-kind presence to the Safe Words stage for his East Bay headlining debut.
Alfons MĂĽller(He/Him) | Gay
📱 @only_fons
Born and raised in the Bavarian Alps, Alfons has lived a life as adventurous as his comedy. He’s worked as a gravedigger, club bouncer, and bartender before finding his way into digital marketing — and eventually, stand-up comedy. In 2022, he crossed the Atlantic for love, moving from Europe to the American Midwest. Now middle-aged, married, and obsessed with strength sports, Alfons mines everyday struggles — from corporate life to married adventures — for laugh-out-loud material. He’s performed in Germany, Iceland, the Midwest, and California, always delivering humor with heart and a belly laugh to match.
