About this Event
greo-wurk is a storytelling practice, developed by creative + life coach blew kind. It includes multi-disciplinary art experiences where, participants travel through the past, the magic in the present, supporting their intent for the future.
In this session participants will explore and discuss the life and works of Langston Hughes. Each participant will leave with original writings inspired by Hughes and a life map reflecting their own story.

About blew:
blew kind is an Afro-Indigenous mother, artist, entrepreneur, and certified life coach. blew creates transformational experiences where folks can connect deeper within themselves and each other toward their highest self. She offers moments of pause, conversation, and discovery where we can experience daily magic, while being open to heal individually and collectively. Her play involves resting at a cafe, poetry, crafting, dance, collage, space making, and exploring new places with her four children. Blew blends her cultural curiosity in all the projects she facilitates. blew studied theatre at University of the Arts and is a lifetime student of African dance, diasporic storytelling, and living communally with the earth and each other. @bkind_oguyo

d'griot (pronounced “duh-gree-o”) is named in honor of African storytellers and urban slang. A space of story; stories of our ancestors, the magic in the present, and our intent for the future. We will be a community wellness cafe, a healing space that offers natural medicinal products, nutrient food and beverage, gallery of local inspiring artists, public experiences, and a space to gather for the whole family. d'griot collaborates with the local economy to amplify more light in the 'hood for the black, brown, and local community. We are currently functioning as a gallery hosting events, rentals, and catering.
