About this Event
These grapes excite us as they shift and shape from terroir to terroir all over the globe. Grenache can be moulded in to a soft and plush hedonistic wine with heft, or it can rival the best Pinot Noirs with elegance and perfume - it even takes the form of white, grey and hairy varieties. Chenin Blanc can express itself in cooler climates as a racy and invigorating style that can feel like an electrocution, or it can make some of the most luscious, honeyed and decadent sweet wines known to humans; however always with trademark acidity. Then, there's Chardonnay. Chalky, mineral and vibrant sometimes. Round, complex and sublime when it feels like it.
Come along for a tasty exploration in to these famous chameleon grapes as we show off their different expressions from around the world.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
