Greenwich Business Day celebrates entrepreneurship in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, with lots workshops, networking and advice!
About this Event

Greenwich Business Day is a celebration of local entrepreneurship in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and a provided attendees with the opportunity to gain business information, advice, widen their business network and learn new skills.

The day will involve:


  • Free business workshops on AI and Google tools for business
  • 1-2-1 consultations with business, accounting and funding experts
  • An inspirational panel event of local business owners
  • Free professional headshots to boost your personal branding
  • Presentations from the British Library BIPC Centre and the Federation of Small Businesses
  • A networking lunch and much more!

Julian has over 36 years of experience as an award-winning business advisor. He is currently delivering the Business Resilience Programme on behalf of South East Enterprise and GLL to founders of successful startups and MDs of established businesses across Greenwich. His total of new sales for clients on all contracts delivered in recent years stands at over £200 million, realising a client sales ratio 34% above the national average. Previously, he was Chairman of the Prime West London Loan Fund Panel and a member of the Institute of Directors. Julian is accredited by SFEDI and an Associate member of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs.'

 Seema Rampersad came to London to study Information and Communication. She worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in their Business Information Centre for 13 years, and the Intelligence Unit at the Greater London Authority (City Hall) for 4 years.  

Since 2012, Seema is working at The British Library's Business & IP Centre for starting-up and growing businesses, which has helped 10000s in the UK and internationally. 

Seema is an advocate for library and information services and recognises the profession as it develops, whereby industries and sectors benefit from the skills, competencies and network of specialized libraries and information professionals. Seema uses new technologies for collaborating information and knowledge across subject areas and borders.  

She also provides customer facing workshops, webinars, information clinics and various project work to businesses and entrepreneurs across the UK.   

Seema serves on Speacial Libraries Association (SLA) Board of Directors (2022-2024) as Past President and has been a member and supporter of SLA for over 20 years.  Seema also volunteers in her local community and values local activites for educational, artistic, business and cultural engagement.

Chris Dusu FCCA is the Principal Associate of Impact Accountants, a firm of chartered certified accountants and Registered Auditors based in the UK, with over 25 years’ experience of delivering innovative financial management solutions for its clients. Impact Accountants advises and supports clients to manage their businesses effectively so that they can become financially successful, with higher profits and lower tax bills, and as a result have more of the things in life they really want. Prior to moving into public practice, Mr Dusu worked as Accountancy Manager at the outsourcing arm of Deloitte & Touche and subsequently as the Head of Finance at the British Film Institute. He is an accomplished communicator and problem solver who quickly identifies and builds trust with key stakeholders; passionate about sharing knowledge through training and coaching, Mr Dusu initiated training programmes for staff in various organisations, with a commitment to maximising potential and motivation. He passionately believes that business is an effective driver of economic value creation in society. He supports initiatives aimed at enabling Africans in the diaspora embrace business activity as a force that can transform their economic well-being in a liberal market-based democracy such as the UK. He holds a BSc degree from University of Ghana and an MBA from Bayes Business School, University of London.

Jesse Ashleigbu, is a distinguished entrepreneur, visionary, and founder of Headlinerz Barbershop based in Greenwich, and was honored with the High Street Business of the Year award at the Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2023. 

Beyond his business ventures, Jesse is a committed advocate for holistic well-being. His initiative, ‘Thursday Night Jollof with Jesse D Barber,’ a men’s-only monthly event, is dedicated to promoting the mental, physical, and emotional health within the community, making a significant impact by changing lives and perspectives.

Laura Love-Petschl is a grassroots and community leadership coach and the founder of Between Humans, a social enterprise which is repurposing coaching as a social justice practice. 

Laura partners with people who are trying to make a difference in their communities and in the world. She believes that leaders’ lived experience, passion and values are their greatest assets in creating social change, and that burnout is not inevitable. Through bespoke, accessible and affordable coaching and workshops, she supports leaders’ professional, personal and organisational growth; helping to build their capacity to create positive, sustainable social change in their communities whilst taking care of their own wellbeing as human beings. 

Laura brings multifaceted, intersectional and systemic lenses to the challenges of grassroots and community leadership and social change. In this, she draws on her years of frontline work and project management in charities and social enterprises, her business start-up experience, her professional coach training, and her academic background in gender studies.
