Join us for the third year of the Great Lakes Shag Escape, a fun, friendly, and welcoming Collegiate Shag weekend in Chicago, May 15–17, 2026!Take classes with our headlining instructors, Sarah Stembridge and Patricio Garces, and learn from an incredible lineup of VIP teachers who will each teach at least one class, judge competitions, and offer private lessons: Zach Lockett-Streiff, Amanda Pincock, Tzefira Medrano, Julie Roman, Bianca Yaghoobi, and Haily Holt.
We offer classes for dancers from beginner to advanced, so everyone can grow their skills and feel supported. Throughout the weekend, you’ll also enjoy a variety of fun contests, including two levels of Shag Mix & Match, Shag Strictly, and our People Bingo social contest.
