Join us for the 3rd Annual Grand Valley River Fest on May 18th from 11 am - 4 pm https://grandvalleyriverfest.com/
Hosted by Grand Junction Adventures, River Rescue Dynamics, Gear Junction and Wetdreams River Supply with support from and proceeds to benefit RiversEdge West and Save-a-Life Jacket Program.

The goal of the festival is to educate and engage the community on all aspects related to our local waterways: Stewardship & Environmental Ethics, Boater Safety & Recreation.
River Fest will include the following fun events for the whole family: *Admission into the event is free!
Live Local Music- 11:00 am – 4:00 pm:
Bands include- Tim & Richard, Ruby Horsethief and Stray Grass
Beer Garden – 11:00 am – 4:00 pm:
Save-A-Life-Jacket Program will be hosting a beer garden at the event. All proceeds will go towards this nonprofit organization. Beer sponsor includes Trail Life Brewery and other local breweries.
Food Trucks: Mount Garfield, Nomads Bowlz, Hunger Tech and Jukebox Jamboree
Community Gear Swap – 11:00 – 4:00 pm:
The Gear Junction & Grand Junction Adventures will be hosting this event. Participants wanting to take part of this event must fill out registration form prior to the event. Forms can be found on event website (grandvalleyriverfest.com). 15% of each item sold will go towards Save-A-Life-Jacket Program, RiversEdge West and festival start-up cost.
SUP Yoga- 9:30 -10:45 am:
Proceeds from this event will go towards the I Hype grief department which focuses on providing yoga, outdoor outings and grief group services to people that have had a traumatic event happen in their life (loss of a love one, addiction and physical & mental trauma). Event cost is $35. Pre-registration and waiver form must be filled out prior to event. Grand Junction Adventures will be donating it’s stand up paddle equipment & safety gear for this event.
Silent Auction – 11:00 - 3:30pm: New this year!! Silent Auction table will be located by the beer garden. Winners will be announced at 3:30pm. Thankful to the following businesses for your donations~
Slackline Exhibition – 11:00 - 1:00pm:
Test your slackline skills in a slackline exhibition across a section of Butterfly Pond. Event personnel will be there to demonstrate and help guide you across. Waiver must be filled out before participant can get on slackline. This is a free event.
Paddle Board Jousting – 1:00 – 2:00 pm:
Battle Royale on Butterfly Pond, paddle jousting dual between two paddle boarders. Participants will be given a life jacket, helmet, paddle board and double padded jousting paddle. Grand Junction Adventures has donated stand up paddle equipment and safety gear for This is a free event. Pre-registration and waiver form must be filled out prior to event. Prizes will be given to top winners of each age group.
Throw Bag Tournament - 2:00 - 4:00 pm:
This event will test your strength, focus and accuracy while at the same time raising awareness for water safety. River Rescue Dynamics will be hosting this event. There will be prize giveaways for the top three winners. This event cost $10 per participant. Pre-registration and waiver form must be filled out prior to event. Registration form can be found at event website (grandvalleyriverfest.com). Proceeds from this event will go towards Save-A-Life-Jacket Program, RiversEdge West and festival start-up cost.
Rubber Ducky Race – 3:00 - 4:00 pm:
RiversEdge West will be hosting a rubber ducky race and the winner will go home with a Rival Hoss Hala paddleboard (worth $1,149)!
Purchase a numbered rubber ducky (or several!) and watch it float down the Colorado River. The race will take place at the Las Colonias Slough/River Park, as well as be livestreamed - so anyone anywhere can participate and watch their duckies race! (Winner will pay shipping and handling costs if not located in Grand Junction, CO). 1 duck starting at $20 and discounted multiple duckie package discounts.
Only 400 ducks will be sold; get yours before they sell out! You do not need to be present to win. Buy tickets in advance or at the event. Online ticket sales will close at noon on May 17th. In-person ticket sales will close on May 18th, the day of the event, at 2pm. www.RiversEdgeWest.org

Several booths at the event will be conducting mini-interactive activities for kids and adults.
