Drawing upon interviews and archival research across both continents, Jones weaves a sweeping narrative of courage, solidarity, and resistance.

Forest Issac Jones is an award-winning historian, essayist, and nonfiction author specializing in the U.S. Black Civil Rights Movement and Irish history. With a doctorate from Virginia Tech and a master’s from Hollins University, Jones has earned honors from Writer’s Digest and other prestigious institutions. He lives in Salem, Virginia, and speaks frequently on historical intersections rarely explored in popular culture.
🎙 About the Moderator
Evan F. Moore is a Chicago-based writer working at the intersection of sports, race, entertainment, and culture. An adjunct professor at DePaul University, he co-authored Game Misconduct: Hockey’s Toxic Culture and How to Fix It, and his work has appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, Rolling Stone, The Defender, ESPN’s Andscape, and more.
