About this Event
Good Game Dev Club is a pay-if-you-want monthly games industry meetup which takes place at Loading Bar in Dalston, London. The event is aimed at anyone who works in the games industry, or is trying to break in. Its open to anyone to make friends and help the community to be a good place to exist in.
If you're developing a game and would like people to playtest, please feel free to bring along your laptop and you can setup in one of the booths. Each has a plug socket below the seat.
SPEAKER - Joel Winsor
Joel is an experienced solo developer. The last game he made, “Supermarket Times” was reviewed by The Guardian and was put on their list of the "Best games of 2024 so far“. Since then, he has done a Masters Degree at National Film and Television School in Game Design and Development. Prior to this he worked in the Film Industry for 10 years as a Video Editor at companies like ITV and The Farm.

Good Game Dev Club is organised by Harvey Hayman, with the permission and blessing of Loading Bar. The event is not affiliated with any organisations. Please join the Discord and let Harvey know if you have any questions.
Good Game Dev Club (normally) takes place on the first Thursday of every month.
Come talk game development, air your views about Unity licencing fees, discuss marketing strategy, celebrate the birth of a wave of new games journalism groups or discuss government games policy. It's all good.
Loading Bar has a load of games consoles setup with a monumental selection of board and video games, the perfect place to talk games.
