About this Event
🌲 Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year and the high point of winter folk celebrations in Britain and around the world. It's a time of renewal, of celebrating the welcoming of the light and planting the seeds for our own growth in the darkness of winter ready to come forth in the spring.
✨ Join us for an evening of seasonal activities to celebrate where we'll explore the history of Solstice celebrations around the world, tell the folk tales of the Wild Hunt and the Holly King and the Oak King over warming spiced tea...
🍊 We'll be crafting natural decorations to keep up all winter long out of citrus fruits, cinnamon sticks and pine branches - either make a garland or a mobile!
This class runs from 7.15pm -9pm on Wednesday 3rd December and is open for everyone (no crafting experience needed!)
The art room at Hoxton Hall is accessible from pavement to classroom.
