ABOUT
Brandon Allen, affectionately known as is a 42-year-old Black American visual artist based in Atlanta, GA. A survivor of two heart transplants, Brandon is now courageously facing a new battle: stage 3 testicular cancer.
As he undergoes treatment, the mounting medical bills have become overwhelming. Your support will help ease the financial burden so that Hobo can focus fully on healing and returning to the work that defines him creating the DOPEness of murals and canvases that celebrate the depth and beauty of Black people of the diaspora.
Hobo Ink’s journey began in Montgomery, Alabama, and grew from a successful tattoo career where he created work for celebrities and industry giants in the entertainment and music industries. Over time, his voice as a visual artist emerged, dedicated to portraying Black imagery in ways that honor resilience, joy, and emotional truth.
At the heart of his practice is the loud + shining beauty of Black skin, inspiring works that highlight the multifaceted realities of the Black experience grace, gratitude, aspiration, and love. His process blends realism with moments of Afrofuturism, informed by research into hidden histories and stolen cultures.
His art has been showcased through partnerships with notable organizations, including Starbucks®, the Harlem Fine Arts Show, Miami Art Week | Art Basel, and Carnegie Hall, reaching audiences nationwide and beyond.
Hobo’s vision is bigger than art it is about preserving stories, big questions, and affirming the richness of the Black experience. By supporting his healing journey, you are not just helping an artist in need but ensuring that his voice, his art, and his impact can continue to thrive.
