About this Event
GOATWATER FEST 2026 – History in the Making
Goatwater Fest 2026 is the first-ever festival dedicated to celebrating Goatwater, the national dish of Montserrat.
This landmark event brings together food, culture, competition, and community for a day that honours heritage while creating new memories.
At the heart of the festival is the Goatwater Cook-Off Competition, where selected cooks will compete for the title of Best Goatwater.
All competition entries will be prepared in advance and judged through a blind tasting, ensuring fairness and letting flavour, balance, and technique speak for themselves.
From traditional methods to treasured family recipes, this is a true test of skill — with no bias, no shortcuts, and no microwave behaviour .
Beyond the competition, attendees can expect:
- Authentic Montserratian flavours
- Hot food vendors (excluding competition dishes)
- Cakes & pastries
- Accessories, books, jewellery, and fashion
- Culture, vibes, and community spirit
This isn’t just a food event — it’s heritage in a pot.
A celebration of identity, pride, and flavour, shared one spoon at a time 🇲🇸
Whether you’re attending to eat, compete, or support the culture, Goatwater Fest 2026 is history in the making.
