This session is part of the 3-day Podcast Creator Summit at WAMU.
Join this session on production workflow to learn how to design your production workflow in a way that reduces roadblocks and pain points. In this hour, you will see examples of production workflows from shows of different formats and sizes and gain insights into the various strategies for reorganizing decision points and processes to maximize efficiency. This session will be led by Toni Carlson (Senior Manager of Production Operations at PRX ) and Poncie Rutsch (freelance audio producer and editor). This is a great opportunity to meet fellow audio creators and industry professionals.

About the Speakers
Toni Carlson is the Senior Manager of Production Operations at PRX. Previously, Toni was the Manager of Training for the PRX Training Team where she handled logistics and communications and managed relationships with strategic partners across all projects. She helped facilitate the Google Podcasts creator program, supporting independent audio creators from around the world with rigorous curriculum and mentorship. She arrived in audio by way of the performing arts. A dancer and choreographer by trade, she thrives in creative, collaborative environments and takes pride in providing empowering spaces for creators of all stripes to learn and strengthen their voices
Poncie Rutsch is a freelance audio editor and consultant based in the Washington, D.C. area. Her specialties include new show development, audio production and editing, and project management. Previously, Poncie worked at Pushkin Industries and Transmitter Media as a senior producer, where she served as lead producer on two shows for TED: Body Stuff and Good Sport. Before that, she co-founded and led the podcast department at WAMU, where she developed and led production on What’s With Washington, Dish City, Unprecedented, Dating While Gray and Through The Cracks.
