This workshop is about going off the beaten paths and learning more about the business of law. Setting up your own law firm is not something to be scared of, but you need to have the stomach for it. With a little bit of planning, some resourcefulness and seeking out mentors and friends (because no one can do it all by themselves), you will be surprised by what you can accomplish.

Hi, my name is Salematou Camara, and I am a Toronto-based criminal defence & civil litigation lawyer. I am the owner and principal at Camara Law Firm, a criminal defence and civil litigation firm. I opened my law firm in late 2019, and it has been an interesting and rewarding experience. I am very passionate about my work both as a lawyer and a business manager. I love learning, and I am curious about many things. I enjoy watching documentaries on history, science, sociology, language, etc. Ultimately, I love learning about the world and how it works.
