About this Event
On this walk we look at Meadfoot beach at low tide, lots of interesting structures and features appear from around and beneath the waves and it's a really interesting place to explore. We will also move on to Triangle Point to look at some awesome fossils and if time permits pop our head in to gaze at the fault in a nearby quarry that once bore gold.
Rich is a local geologist and teacher who has been interested in the rocks of Torbay and south Devon since he was young. He now runs Taleblazers, a community interest company based around storytelling, natural history, folklore and heritage.
No geological knowledge is needed for this walk, just an interest in the rocks that make up this stunning part of the world. Numbers are strictly limited for your safety and to allow us to pitch our descriptions at your level. This is a fairly strenuous walk in places and requires a bit of east scrambling and rock-hopping particularly around Meadfoot Quarry.
Joining instructions, including details of where to meet, will be sent out a few days before the event.
