Join us as we coach participants on living a happier, more fulfilled life, all while traveling across the world—from Japan and Bhutan in Asia to Europe and America. We will also weave modern neuroscience with conventional wisdom to provide practical strategies for improving mental health and well-being.
This session, 'Generosity, Compassion & Forgiveness,' is part of the training series 'The Six Perfections,' where we focus on enhancing mental health, well-being, and resilience. We will use the framework of the Buddhist Six Perfections to explore ways to better understand ourselves and cultivate personal strength and skillful means in our interactions with work, school, family, and friends.
Resources: After registering for this course, participants will receive:
- A certificate of participation issued by Youthub, an educational forum supported by the Helsinki Education Hub and the World Happiness Foundation
- A handbook with theory and exercises to help you practice what you will learn during the course.
- Access to a WhatsApp group
Structure: Each session will last 60 minutes: 10 minutes of content, 35 minutes of group activities, and 15 minutes for sharing, takeaways, and Q&A.
Language: The course is in English, with some Spanish included to help you learn key technical terms.
About the speakers:
Dr. Abu M. Nasim is a licensed psychologist based in New York City. He works with clients of all ages and assists them in stabilizing their mental health, moreover he helps clients develop insight into the causes and source of their stress, assists in identifying maladaptive habits, and creates plans to build healthy habits. He was previously the Director of Mental health and Wellness at a special-needs preschool in New York. Dr. Abu is well versed in Christian, Islamic, and Buddhist spiritual teachings. He weaves modern neuroscience and conventional wisdom to provide practical strategies to improve mental health and well-being.

Izarbe Lafuerza is an advisor to the World Happiness Foundation and offers consulting, therapy, and training to professionals, families, and children through a unique methodology, based on her experience in countries as diverse as Bhutan, the United States, Finland, and Spain. Throughout her career, she has worked for various organizations. For example, she taught at two schools in Finland and worked at the United Nations in the United States. Additionally, she collaborates with Spanish media outlets, the ICF (International Coaching Federation), and universities such as FIU (USA), UPN (Mexico), UB and UNED (Spain), and ENEB and ISEB (online), where she delivers lectures, talks, and training sessions.
