Discover the beauty, history, and meaning behind ceramics at Toronto’s charming and newly refreshed Gardiner Museum during a thought-provoking guided tour:
“Class & Taste: Why Do the Wealthy Love Beautiful Things?”
We’ll explore intriguing questions together:
- Does beauty equal money — or can taste exist without wealth?
- Does food feel different when served on a $2,000 plate?
- Why have beautiful objects always mattered to people?
- In the Middle Ages, objects defined social class — for example, porcelain. Has that really changed today?
After the museum visit, enjoy a scenic walk toward the Legislative Assembly of Ontario and along University Avenue, where we’ll connect Toronto’s present with its historical past.
