CHORA NOVA presents a fundraiser for our 20th Season -- Soprano GABRIELLE GOOZÉE-NICHOLS, in a vocal recital accompanied by a chamber orchestra of musicians from the MOZART TO MENDELSSOHN orchestra!Gabrielle is quickly becoming a Bay Area favorite - Chora Nova audiences have been enchanted with her singing on programs in our last two seasons, while she has also been featured with the Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco City Chorus, Mozart to Mendelssohn orchestra, Calvary Presbyterian Church, and more. She is delighted to present this concert to support us— all proceeds will go towards funding Chora Nova’s 20th season concerts and closing celebration!
The program features arias from Handel’s Alcina, Bach’s St. John Passion and Magnificat, Haydn’s The Creation, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, plus Respighi’s gorgeous Il Tramonto and two of Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder -- all accompanied by members of the Mozart to Mendelssohn orchestra, conducted by Chora Nova's (and M2M's) music director, John Kendall Bailey.
