Futures of Legacy Data in Historical French

The workshop will be held in person at University College London and will be transmitted via video link. Registration is strictly necessary for both formats. Based on the experiences of creation and reuse of datasets produced as part of a number of high profile research projects in Medieval French, the workshop will address the following questions:

• How do we encourage re-use of databases?
• How to ensure digital longevity and accessibility of historical datasets?
• How, as we are doing projects, do we frame them in ways that will enable further, different uses of our data?
• How do we encourage researchers to revisit existing projects creatively?
• How do we fund these enterprises?
