Babymoon retreats usually caters for pregnant woman and couples but this July we again are shinning the light on our future midwives and making this retreat all about you legends.

The day will follow the much loved format of all Babymoon retreats and offers you the opportunity to connect with each other in a safe way, to relax and to learn more about the spiritual and wholistic side of the role.
Your retreat is facilitated by midwives with many years experience in natural birth who will answer any questions with wisdom and kindness.
Education
Birth wisdom from a master midwife. We will share with you the trials and tribulations of being a Home Birth Midwife. Practical tips and tales from a life on call.

The things you didn’t know that you don't know.
How to support the body to instinctual do what it does naturally.
Water birth as an amazing option to support natural labour.
How to make hormones work.
Strategies to use during labour and birth when pharmacological analgesia and a synthetic hormone drip is just not an option.

This conversation can go in any direction you all desire...... no tangent is to far....no questions are off the table.
Connection
Let us help you find that special sisterhood of like minded souls to become your tribe.
Forming connections with other future midwives who are sharing your journey.
Student from different Uni's or programs that are navigating a different road to the same destination. Sharing experiences, hopes, fears and dreams. Sharing your journey so others don't have the same struggles that you have faced.
Relaxation
When women sit in a circle magic happens. The day begins and ends with a women's circle incorporating a guided meditation and sound healing.
This retreat is situated in a beautiful location on the foreshore of the Swan River under Heathcote. You will be able to walk on the sand and paddle in the river. Keep an eye out for pods of dolphins who often swim by.
This magical setting lends itself to relaxation, the hall is fully air conditioned and we have a magnificent Bell tent outside for circle activities, morning tea and lunch.
Lunch is an example of traditional postnatal fare made by Doula's and birth workers from ancient recipes designed to heal and restore the body after birth. This food is both delicious and nutritious and has become a highlight of all Babymoon events.
