7 kitchens cooking daily, each reaching about 220 families with hot meals.
1,500+ food parcels every week, each just $40 and enough to sustain a family.
Water trucks ($250 each), enough for 200 families at a time.
Care packages ($15–20) delivered to hospitals and makeshift camps, bringing relief where it is most needed.
This collaborative effort by Latin American artists concerned about famine in Gaza and Palestine—is a coming together in love, concern, solidarity, and shared humanity. Through music, the evening will embody the values of brotherhood, respect, and compassion, affirming that in times of crisis, we must lend out a helping hand and reach out heart to heart, as one people.
The evening will feature three of the most important Latin American bands currently playing in Philadelphia’s music scene, (De Tierra Caliente, Guachinangos, and Suena Cimarrón. The evening will feature two hours of music taking the audience on a musical journey through Latin America’s rich, complex, and diverse music genres across the Caribbean, Central and South America, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, & the Pacific Coast of Colombia.
The evening will start with a poetry reading by renown Palestinian and Philadelphia based poet and scholar Ahmad Almallah, which will then flow into a wide range of Latin American rhythms with their deep and rich tradition in African, Indigenous, European and Arabic influences.
