Janey Lee Grace
Join Janey Lee Grace for a deep dive into the highs and lows of the music industry starting with hilarious anecdotes from her early days as a singer in a Mecca ballroom, performing covers in front of the original artists! Early years hustling as a backing singer, meeting Gary Numan, hanging out with Dr Haze from Circus of Horrors. Her plastic fantastic days and the glam and grit of touring as a real-life Barbie Doll and working with Mari Wilson as a 'Wilsation'.
From squashed mini-buses to the luxury travel on the WHAM! tours, (including the legendary trip to China) Janey will dish behind-the-scenes stories on being a backing singer with the likes of Matt Bianco, Nik Kershaw, Kim Wilde and Boy George.
Her tales from the Virgin Radio days, and her 24 years on Steve Wright in the afternoon on BBC Radio 2. Not forgetting her whirlwind rise to fleeting pop stardom at number 8 in the pop charts with Cola Boy.

Janey Lee Grace is known for her appearances on BBC Radio 2’s Steve Wright in the Afternoon and as a singer touring with many famous bands as well as her own top 10 hit in the 90’s. Janey has also appeared on Good Morning Britain, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, The Wright Stuff, BBC Breakfast and Sky TV Entertainment news. She is a best-selling author of a number of popular books to include Imperfectly Natural Women (ISBN 9781904424895) and Happy Healthy Sober (ISBN 9780857162120)
