From Virtuoso to Visionary: The Art of Chopin

Join us at La Maison Française as rising Polish pianist Antoni Kleczek takes the stage with an all-Chopin program that captures the drama, lyricism, and emotional sweep of opera itself. Hailed by New York Concert Review for his “musical maturity far beyond his years,” Kleczek is already a rising star on the international scene, with top prizes from major Chopin competitions in Poland, Germany, and the United States.
This special program charts a bold arc through Chopin’s musical evolution — from virtuosic charm to visionary depth. Opening with the sparkling Variations on “Là ci darem la mano” (based on the iconic duet from Mozart’s Don Giovanni), the recital flows through the soul-stirring Mazurkas, the majestic Sonata No. 3, and culminates in the emotionally expansive Polonaise-Fantasy. These are works that sing — poetic, deeply personal, and unmistakably theatrical.
Though best known for our work in operetta, The OCW champions all forms of musical storytelling.
