About this Event
This session is the second part of a two-part professional development series focused on helping peers take the next step into the recovery workforce. Building on foundational concepts from Part 1, this session focuses on helping participants take the next step into employment within the peer workforce. Building on foundational skills, it provides practical, hands-on tools to successfully navigate the job search and hiring process.
Participants will learn how to communicate effectively in professional settings, both verbally and non-verbally, while developing or strengthening their resumes. The training also covers job search strategies, application tips, and interview preparation, helping participants present themselves with confidence and professionalism.
Emphasis is placed on translating lived experience into workforce strengths, building confidence, and understanding how to show up as a capable and prepared professional. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with the skills and confidence needed to pursue meaningful employment in recovery-oriented settings.
