About this Event
Walk along the trails in the Aspen Forest of North Glenmore Park where our Invasive Plant Program is actively working to restore areas filled with fast-growing garden escape plants. Along the way, you’ll see how some plants thrive and spread, and how native plants grow in harmony with their surroundings. We’ll highlight the restoration work and show how volunteers help guide these forests toward balanced, healthy ecosystems.
As we walk, we’ll observe the variety of native and non-native plants and notice how plant communities change across the park.
The hike will be about 3 km in length on a mix of trails and uneven terrain.
Please wear proper footwear and be prepared to be outside for the full duration.
This hike is geared towards adults. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
