About this Event
Some wines take the spotlight and stake their claims as classics throughout the test of time. However, the world of wine is constantly changing and the genius of winemakers across the globe never ending. At Theatre of Wine, we have always had a reputation for championing the wine oddities that sit on the fringes - we delight in sharing wines that stimulate your intrigue in their novelty. Have you ever tried unfortified Palomino from the Sherry region? A far cry from Grandma's Christmas tipple. Or what about Alsatian field blends, a region known for its varietal favouritism, made with low intervention? Or, perhaps a skin contact aka 'orange' or 'amber' wine made from Ribolla Gialla grapes grown in Slovenia.
It has always been our mission to stay in tune and keep one step ahead - something we share with our intrepid Tufnell Park customers who are always open to trying something new. We invite you to join us as we throw out the textbook and let our palates make their own discoveries.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
