Big ears. Tiny snorts. A French bulldog puppy that has decided your lap is now its permanent address. Welcome.
This is French Bulldog Puppy Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto, and it might be the most photogenic hour you'll spend all month.
Frenchies are a whole personality in a very small body. They've got those enormous bat ears, a permanently curious expression, and a tendency to snort, snuffle, and grunt their way through life like tiny opinionated companions. They don't run so much as bustle. And the second class starts, at least one of them is going to waddle directly over, plop down in front of you, and look up like the two of you have important business to discuss. It's ridiculous. You'll love it.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga with French bulldog puppies as your bat-eared little co-teachers
- 20 minutes of pure cuddle time, snorts and kisses included, no extra charge
- 5 minutes of sharing circle to soak it all in before heading back into the world
Why people keep coming back
Puppy yoga does something a regular yoga class can't. The puppies wander, snuggle, and tumble around the room, and your nervous system just… exhales. Studies (and frankly, common sense) show that time with puppies lowers stress, lifts mood, and makes everything feel a little more manageable. You'll move your body, meet good humans, and remember what it feels like to laugh on a yoga mat.
A note on French bulldog puppies
Frenchies were bred to be companion dogs, pure and simple, and it shows in everything they do. They are people-obsessed, endlessly expressive, and weirdly funny without trying to be. The puppies have all of that energy in a compact, snorting, bat-eared package. They love laps, they love attention, and they have exactly zero interest in personal space. Expect a lot of direct eye contact, a few dramatic sighs, and at least one puppy who treats your yoga mat as a personal stage.
A few good-to-knows
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 needs to come with a parent or guardian, and grown-ups are responsible for helping their little ones move gently and handle the puppies with care. The puppies are small but sturdy, the humans are kind, and the vibe is very much "everyone gets a turn."
Mats provided. No experience needed. Just show up ready to be thoroughly charmed by a roomful of bat-eared, snorting little companions for an hour.
