Youth Golf Program Overview
Our Youth Golf Program is designed to introduce youth to the game of golf while building confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. This program combines hands-on learning, golf simulator training, and preparation for official golf clinics.
No Equipment is required - we have you covered!
Orientation: March 5 from 6:00 -7:30pm.
Program Timeline & Structure:
Early March – Program Kickoff Meeting Oreintation
We will host an initial meeting in early March to welcome 10–15 participating youth. During this session, families will:
- Meet the program facilitators
- Review the program schedule and expectations
- Receive golf clubs and any additional equipment needed for participation
Mid-March – Golf Simulator Sessions
Beginning in mid-March, participants will take part in two golf simulator sessions focused on learning the fundamentals of golf in an engaging and structured environment.
- Two total sessions
- Each session will be 2 hours long
- Youth will be split into two small groups for focused instruction
- Sessions will be held at a golf simulator facility located in Grand Blanc or Fenton
Late April – Golf Rules & Readiness Session
At the end of April, participants will attend a session focused on:
- Golf rules and etiquette
- Skill development and reinforcement
- Preparing youth for upcoming clinics
May – FJGA Clinic Preparation
The program will conclude by preparing participants to confidently engage in FJGA clinics scheduled for May.
Transportation & Locations
Families are responsible for providing transportation for participants to and from all program sessions.
- March Golf Simulator Sessions:
Sessions will be held at a golf simulator facility located in Grand Blanc or Fenton, MI (final location will be shared with registered families prior to the first session). - Other Program Sessions:
The early March kickoff meeting and late April instructional session will be held at designated community locations, which will be communicated to families in advance.
This program provides youth with early exposure to golf, structured skill development, and a positive pathway into organized golf experiences.
