We invite you to join us for a supportive and creative gathering in honor of Denim Day. Together, we’ll paint and decorate jeans as a way to express strength, healing, and solidarity. This is a safe, respectful space where your story and your presence are valued. All supplies will be provided, and you are welcome exactly as you are.Decorated denim will be entered in the silent auction at our Annual Circle Lunch fundraiser.

WHAT IS DENIM DAY?
Denim Day is a global movement that uses denim as a symbol of solidarity with survivors of sexual violence and a stand against victim-blaming.
In the late 90's Italy’s Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction because the victim was wearing tight jeans, ruling that she must have assisted her attackers in removing them which implied consent.
Following the reversal, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans in solidarity with the victim. By wearing and reimagining denim, we spark conversation, raise awareness, and show support.
