About this Event
Would you like to make a beautiful garden or beach chair out of wood?
In this ten week project you will design and make a chair that fits together in two pieces and therefore is easily transportable - a chair that can be used on the beach or in the garden. You will learn to measure, mark and cut wood accurately using some simple joinery techniques. You will learn to smooth, sand and finish your finished creation, so it is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing
Will it be chunky and heavy or more light and refined? How big will it be? Will you make it entirely in wood? Will you choose to have a fabric back instead of wooden slats (and learn some sewing-machine skills along the way)?
