About this Event
A slow, creative hour to sit down, switch off a bit, and try something new. I’ll guide you through a few simple stitches while you start stitching a seasonal design onto your own item using stick-and-stitch patterns.
Please bring something non-stretchy and not too thin to embroider onto (denim, thicker cotton, tote bags all work well). If you don’t have anything suitable, I’ll have a small number of blank totes and pouches available to buy on the day. This session is all about learning the basics and getting started - you’ll begin your piece during the workshop and finish it at home.
Everyone’s welcome - it’s a relaxed, inclusive space and lots of people come on their own, so no need to be nervous!
As a little extra, you’ll also get a discount on my kits and products on the day if you’d like to keep stitching afterwards.
Location: We’ll be on Beehive Passage in Leadenhall Market. If you’re struggling to find us, head to Boom Bap Burger on Google Maps and you should be close. The market is covered but still outdoors, so wrap up if it’s a colder day.
Accessibility: Step-free access, but the ground is cobbled and it can get quite busy.
Arrival: Please arrive on time - if you don’t show up, your space may be offered to someone on the waiting list.
Drop-ins: You’re welcome to drop by and check for space. We sometimes have no-shows, so you might be able to join on the day.
