Frank Viele is a New England–born blues‑rock songwriter whose gritty vocals, soulful guitar work, and heartfelt storytelling have earned him multiple New England Music Awards, including Album of the Year, Male Performer of the Year, and two wins for Songwriter of the Year.
After years of nonstop touring and releasing acclaimed records, the 2020 shutdown pushed Viele into a more intentional creative chapter. He began writing and recording with Muscle Shoals greats Jimmy Nutt and James LeBlanc, a collaboration that shaped his 2021 EP Time Is a Thief and paved the way for his 2023 full‑length album. Its lead single, “Hearts We Left Behind,” was featured as Boston Country 102.5’s Song of the Week and praised for its emotional depth and signature vocal grit.
Viele has toured relentlessly since his 2015 solo debut, sharing stages with artists like John Waite, Blues Traveler, Ingrid Michaelson, and Xavier Rudd. His sound—rooted in rock, blues, folk, and country—reflects a lifetime of influences, from his grandmother’s piano to the guitar his brother left behind.
