About this Event

The Frances Hardinge Conference welcomes academics, fans and people who regard themselves as both! We will have talks including a keynote from Alison Baker (University of East London) and of course a keynote from Frances Hardinge herself.

A call for papers, workshops and presentations will go out in 2025 but you are welcome to email proposals to [email protected] in the meantime.

Venue: Aston University, Birmingham. The venue has been chosen for its proximity to a major train station, and airport, and for its good Accessibility.

The price includes:

Lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner on Saturday evening (as there are no restaurants nearby): food allergies and preferences will be gathered nearer the time and will be respected.

A collection of all papers, as an ebook.

There is no conference hotel, but there are many hotels in the area. Recommendations will be made one year out from the conference.
