Dank Frank is a bass project started by Frank Menolascino. Through years of experimentation with various digital audio workstations and formal training at Icon Collective, Frank has developed unique sound design skills and the ability to create a vibrant and versatile soundscape using his mountainous surroundings and nature as a source of inspiration. While writing, Frank does not shy away from experimenting with modes or accidentals, diversifying his compositions while staying current, simultaneously keeping his mixes fun and interesting - however shocking and forthright.
Frank first gained traction from a couple of unofficial remixes. His first breakthrough original track Great Wall was featured on Deep Dark & Dangerous as part of their Trilogy Compilation. He followed up with several releases through Jadu Dala, releasing his most popular tracks, Hollow Thoughts, Melody Lives On, and Velcro. He followed up with a MONTA Records EP and collaborative releases with artists such as OkayJake, Molokai, and Slang Dogs. With the success of these releases and a number of self-releases, Dank Frank has received support from prominent artists such as Zeds Dead, Tape B, LSDream, Liquid Stranger, Mersiv, EazyBaked, and many others.
