About Rot & Fallow
Rot & Fallow is an intentional place to gather. Inspired by the essence of a third place, it exists to cultivate a space that brings people together, encourages conversation, and sparks connection through fun & meaningful experiences.
It also serves as a platform and venue to uplift local artists, creators and makers who don't have a physical space to publicly showcase their craft whether it's food or art. While welcome to all, Rot & Fallow is especially keen to supporting women and the BIPOC community as it is a as a woman- and Asian-owned space.
About Amelia C. Williams
Amelia C. Williams is a mixed media installation artist and art director based in New York.
Through motifs, symbols, lyrics, and pop culture references, Williams constructs layered mixed-media installations that take the form of large-scale moodboards, designed to immerse viewers and give people the space to feel.
Each installation and collection documents her life in real time, often serving as a response to frustrations she is not yet emotionally ready to confront. With mental health always at the forefront, Williams’ work examines the long-term effects of these experiences, highlighting the intersections of personal struggles, racial issues, and societal expectations—including the promises and contradictions of the American “dream”—as well as the realities of a predominantly white culture that often hides behind performative allyship.
Williams work has been featured at Upstate Art Weekend, Basel at Night, Yelp, Arts Society of Kingston, Blooming Hearts Studio and more.
